This Privacy Policy explains how Cliipz ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Cliipz service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account and contact details such as your email address when you join the waitlist or create an account.
• Configuration preferences such as the Twitch streamers, categories, captions, and publishing schedules you set up.

Information from connected platforms

When you authorize Cliipz to connect to a third-party platform, we receive and store the data needed to operate the Service:

• TikTok: via Login Kit and the Content Posting API, we access your basic profile information (user.info.basic) and the ability to upload and publish videos on your behalf (video.upload, video.publish). We store the OAuth access and refresh tokens required to publish the clips you select.
• Twitch: we access publicly available clip metadata (titles, view counts, creators, games) through the Twitch API. We do not access your private Twitch data.
• Instagram and YouTube (as those integrations become available): comparable authorization tokens and the permissions needed to publish content you select.

Information collected automatically

• Basic usage and diagnostic data, such as log events and error reports, used to operate and improve the Service.

2. How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• To discover clips and publish the content you select to your connected accounts.
• To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support.
• To secure the Service and prevent abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your connected accounts for advertising.

3. How we share information

We share information only in limited circumstances:

• With third-party platforms (TikTok, Twitch, Instagram, YouTube) as necessary to perform the actions you request, such as publishing a clip.
• With service providers who host infrastructure or databases on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Cliipz and its users.

4. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your data at any time. When you disconnect a platform, we delete the associated access and refresh tokens.

5. Your rights and choices

• Revoke access:You can disconnect any platform within Cliipz or revoke Cliipz's access directly in that platform's settings (for example, in your TikTok account's connected-apps page).
• Access and deletion: You may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it by contacting us.
• Communications: You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and restricted access to stored credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
